Birds

Our backyard must be quite the buffet...dozens of birds are back there right now in the cold morning air eating whatever I have coming up out of the ground.

There are cardinals, robins, blue jays and even some sort of red-headed bird, perhaps a woodpecker. I couldn't ever get a good enough look to tell and there appeared to only be one of them

It is interesting to me that as I stand out there my first instinct is to bundle up and be still, but these lightly feathered creatures don't seem to be bothered by the cold....they work and gather in spite of it. I assume that their activity keeps them warm...what a lesson for me. Work in spite of the challenge and your problems won't be as noticeable to you.

I didn't finish this blog and I haven't post since then...I have to admit it falls far down the list of what I do even though it is something I enjoy doing.
